SGP2 bronze medallist Jakub Miskowiak has extended his stay with Bauhaus Elitserien runners-up Lejonen into 2023.

Miskowiak was part of the Gislaved club’s squad this year as they stormed to the play-off final and joins a sizeable Polish contingent, also featuring triple world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, SGP2 under-21 world champion Mateusz Cierniak, Dominik Kubera and Jaroslaw Hampel.

Swedish champion Oliver Berntzon, Latvia’s Francis Gusts, Casper Henriksson, Matias Nielsen and Daniel Henderson are also part of the squad.

Elsewhere, another Polish SGP2 rider Wiktor Przyjemski has been snapped up by Rospiggarna for his debut season in Swedish racing.

The Hallstavik club’s team manager Peter Jansson said: “Wiktor is a young rider who never gives up and he is also a good starter. He is just at the start of his career, and it will be interesting to see what he can achieve. Wiktor has all the potential to make a good debut season in the Bauhaus league and it will be a lot of fun to be a part of his development and career. He is a rider that the Rospiggarna audience will be impressed by.”

Vastervik retains local youngster Anton Karlsson for 2023, while Piraterna adds Mathias Thornblom to their squad – he arrives on loan from Lejonen.
