LAMBERT: TAKING THE POSITIVES TO WARSAWLAMBERT: TAKING THE POSITIVES TO WARSAW

Great Britain racer Robert Lambert is determined to build on the positives as he heads to the Orlen FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw this Saturday.

Lambert raced to 11 points in the heats at the series-opening Boll FIM Speedway GP of Croatia on April 27, but was denied a place in the final after being passed by Fredrik Lindgren in the opening exchanges of his semi.

He still left Donji Kraljevec with a healthy 12 championship points and will hope to add to it in Warsaw.

“It was a consistent meeting like always from me in Croatia,” he said. “I just dropped off a bit at the end. We went in the right direction with things. But for the semi, we probably didn’t go hard enough with the setup.

“I am learning, and I am taking the positives away. I am trying not to dwell on the things that went wrong. Making it to the semis was good and I still got 12 points on the board. That’s good moving forward and hopefully I can do something better in the next ones.

“I am looking forward to Warsaw being the next one. I just want to keep focused over the next few meetings. It could have been a lot worse and it’s not a bad start to the Speedway GP season actually. We will just take away the positives and build on them.”
