JAKOBSEN SET FOR FULL STARS SEASON IN 2023

Danish international Frederik Jakobsen hailed King’s Lynn for giving him an end-of-season cameo appearance for 2022 after signing up for a full campaign with the Stars in 2023.

Jakobsen was drafted in by the Norfolk club on a bargain 5.04 average for his first appearance in the UK since he helped Poole lift the 2018 SGB Premiership title, which they sealed at King’s Lynn.

The 24-year-old is making up for the heartbreak he helped to inflict on the Stars four years ago and produced some stellar displays in the closing weeks of the season.

Despite the club falling short of the SGB Premiership play-offs, they are already planning their title bid for 2023 and Jakobsen is the first piece of their team-building puzzle.

The Ejby-born racer is pleased to have been drafted in at such a late stage this season and can’t wait to return next year.

He said: “Everything has been really good so far and a huge thank you must go to Alex (Brady, team manager) for bringing me in.

“It was a bit of a risk to take with only a couple of months left in this season, but he saw it as an investment for next year as well and I am pleased to sign up for a manager who thinks like that.

“I thank everyone here for making me feel very welcome and I am stoked to be back and working hard to get points for the Stars next year.”
