Great Britain racer Anders Rowe has been handed a late call-up for the Prague FIM SGP2 of Czech Republic on Friday.

The Poole and Rzeszow star was named as SGP2 second series substitute after missing out on full qualification for the championship following a marathon five-heat, four-man run-off at the qualifying round in Vojens on May 20.

But Latvian racer Francis Gusts has been forced out of the Prague round, with his Polish club Ostrow confirming he suffered a broken wrist when he crashed in a Bauhaus Elitserien match at Swedish track Gislaved on Tuesday.

First series reserve Nazar Parnitskiy is unable to step in for Gusts, with the Ukrainian’s Polish team Leszno confirming he suffered a broken wrist of his own in his final ride at the SGP2 qualifier in Pardubice on May 20.

Rowe makes his SGP2 FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship Final series debut, as he bids to one day follow the likes of Tai Woffinden, Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley in making the step up on to the Speedway GP stage.
