Future Speedway GP stars can start their journey towards the sport’s biggest stage as the brand-new SGP4 bike is available to order now.

Designed by six-time FIM Speedway world champion Tony Rickardsson and his long-time mechanic Tomasz Suskiewicz, the brand-new machine with a Daytona FS Anima 190 engine makes its competition debut on the afternoon of the FIM Speedway GP of Sweden – Malilla on July 15, when the first-ever SGP4 event will be staged.

As part of their vision to bring through a new generation of Speedway GP talent, FIM Speedway global promoters Warner Bros. Discovery Sports turned to Rickardsson to design the ideal entry-level bike for riders aged 11 to 13.

It is hoped this will be young riders’ first step on the road to Speedway GP as they progress to SGP3 – the FIM Speedway Youth World Championship for 250cc riders – and then SGP2 – the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship and Speedway GP on 500cc bikes.

After a year of testing and development in consultation with riders, their families and experts across Europe, a 190cc, four-stroke bike was selected with the aim of offering a machine that performs similarly to a 500cc Speedway GP bike – but in a smaller package.

The bike is built using high-quality parts from suppliers who also produce parts for Speedway GP riders, ensuring the SGP4 bike guarantees great fun for children at the beginning of their career. Easy access to spare parts and assistance with maintaining the bikes will also be available.
