MILIK SEALS SWEDISH PIRATES STAY

Czech charger Vaclav Milik is on his way back to Swedish side Piraterna for 2023.

The FIM Speedway of Nations star has extended his contract with the Motala club for another year and returns to them on a 1.825 average, joining Polish star Oskar Fajfer and Swedish racer Mathias Thornblom in the squad.

Milik was part of the Czech side that raced to its best-ever FIM SON performance in Vojens last July, which saw them take a shock fifth place ahead of highly-fancied Poland in the Final.

Pirates boss Daniel Davidsson believes the hard-charging Pardubice racer’s versatility will be important to the club in 2023.

After announcing the deal, he said: “That is another important piece of the puzzle in place. After a somewhat tentative start to 2022, Václav showed good riding on all types of tracks. He will be important for us in 2023.”
