Four-time Speedway GP world champion Greg Hancock has joined Polish giants Stal Gorzow’s coaching team for the 2024 season.

Hancock is already working with Speedway GP newcomer Szymon Wozniak as a coach ahead of the Pole’s debut season in World Championship, and he will now help Wozniak’s teammates in the Edward Jancarz Stadium pits.

Grin previously filled a similar role with Wroclaw, helping the club lift the PGE Ekstraliga championship in 2021.

Along with working with Wozniak, Hancock’s new role sees him offer support to the likes of Gorzow stars Martin Vaculik, Anders Thomsen, Oskar Fajfer and Jakub Miskowiak, along with the club’s young guns, which include local favourite Oskar Paluch and Norwegian rising star Mathias Pollestad.

Hancock will also be in Wozniak’s corner at every Speedway GP round, including the FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Gorzow on June 29 as the FIM SGP Challenge qualifier goes for glory on his home track.
