Max Fricke bids to add another Polish victory to his collection after leading an Aussie one-two with Jason Doyle at the top of the KGHM FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Gorzow timing charts.

Fricke clocked the fastest lap time in Qualifying Practice this afternoon, recording 14.341 seconds, as he bids to add to his Speedway GP wins at Torun round seven in 2020 and Warsaw in 2022.

Doyle was close behind on 14.385 on the track where he won one of the all-time great Speedway GP final showdowns with Tai Woffinden in 2016.

Double Danish champion Anders Thomsen made his local knowledge pay. The Stal Gorzow rider registered 14.451, while wild card Szymon Wozniak took an impressive fourth place on 14.464.

After falling short of the semi-finals in Teterow last time out, Swedish star Fredrik Lindgren hit back with fifth place in Qualifying Practice on 14.482.

Former Gorzow icon Bartosz Zmarzlik proved he still knows the fast route around Edward Jancarz Stadium, clocking the sixth best lap time on 14.495, with his fellow triple world champion Tai Woffinden close behind on 14.497 in seventh spot.
