Polish speedway fans can enjoy full coverage of the 2023 FIM Speedway season live on Eurosport Extra in Player, with all three Polish Speedway GP rounds live free-to-air on TTV.

FIM Speedway events across the Warner Bros. Discovery Sports network attracted over four million viewers in Poland across 2022, with last year’s Orlen FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw drawing the biggest Speedway GP audience in Poland for nearly 20 years.

Eurosport Extra in Player will once again bring subscribers full coverage of all 10 Speedway GP rounds throughout 2023, starting with the season-opening Tehnix FIM Speedway GP of Croatia on April 29.

This will feature all the build-up from the pits and reaction after the chequered flag falls, plus the very best coverage of the racing including pit and on-board cameras, rider reaction times and, coming soon, live speed data.

After achieving record-breaking Speedway GP viewing figures in 2022, the Speedway GP rounds at Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy on May 13, Gorzow’s Edward Jancarz Stadium on June 24 and the series finale in Torun on September 30 will once again be broadcasted live on free-to-air channel TTV.

There will be more live speedway on Eurosport 1, which will televise the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup Race Off and Final from Wroclaw on July 28 and 29, as well as a 45-minute highlights show following every Speedway GP event.

That’s not all as Eurosport Poland will also have live coverage of nine Speedway GP Qualifying Practice sessions, as well as all three SGP2 rounds as the sport’s top young guns race for the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship.

The FIM SGP3 Final, the FIM Speedway Youth World Championship featuring speedway’s brightest 250cc under-16 stars, also comes to Eurosport Poland live from Swedish track Malilla on July 14.

With a packed schedule of live FIM Speedway action in 2023, FIM Speedway championships director Laura Manciet believes Polish fans are in for an exciting season of racing.

She said: “A crucial part of Warner Bros. Discovery Sports’ vision for FIM Speedway was to increase the visibility of the sport, and our live free-to-air coverage of the Polish Speedway GP rounds in 2022 played a key role in achieving this objective.

“We are delighted to bring three more Speedway GP events to TTV in 2023, while fans can watch the Polish team race for Monster Energy FIM SWC gold on Eurosport 1 in July.

“Eurosport Extra in Player offers Polish viewers a super FIM Speedway package in 2023, featuring every second of racing and plenty of additional content around our events.

“We can’t wait to bring our many viewers across Poland an exciting season of racing as triple world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, world No.3 Maciej Janowski and former world No.2 Patryk Dudek go for gold once again.”

Bogdan Czaja, Eurosport Director in Poland and Group Vice President Programming and Operations for TVN Warner Bros. Discovery commented: “Speedway has a large group of passionate fans in Poland and I'm happy that we can once again invite them to follow the FIM Speedway Grand Prix championship race.

“Last year, our coverage attracted over four million viewers! I'm convinced that this season, millions of speedway fans will support Bartosz Zmarzlik, Maciej Janowski and Patryk Dudek with us.

“We have great commentators, experts and a reporter, plus excellent broadcasts, featuring additional cameras in the pit boxes, which will allow viewers to immerse themselves in the world of Speedway GP.”
