Triple world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik raced to a 14 paid 15-point maximum as Lublin ran riot 65-25 at home to Leszno in the PGE Ekstraliga on Sunday.

Zmarzlik heads into Saturday’s Orlen FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw in fine form after winning the Speedway GP opener in Croatia on April 29, and a PGE Ekstraliga maximum against the Bulls will only lift him further as he chases his first Warsaw final.

Orlen FIM Warsaw Speedway GP wild card Dominik Kubera also went unbeaten by an opponent on 13 paid 15, while Swedish star Fredrik Lindgren dropped just a point on his way to 13 paid 14.

Aussie champion Jack Holder also impressed on 11 paid 14 against a Leszno side missing his injured older brother Chris, who is sidelined with fractures to his C5 vertebra.

Leszno’s only real resistance came from Grzegorz Zengota, who notched nine paid 10 points.

Elsewhere, Great Britain racer Dan Bewley warmed up for Warsaw by bagging 12 points for Wroclaw as they won 49-41 at home to Gorzow.

He was well supported by 10 paid 11 from 2021 Speedway GP world champion Artem Laguta and a straight 10 from Polish star Maciej Janowski. Triple world champion Tai Woffinden scored three paid four points.

Double Danish champion Anders Thomsen led the Gorzow scoring on 13 paid 14, with Szymon Wozniak collecting 10 paid 12 and Slovak star Martin Vaculik scoring 10 paid 11.

In the Polish First Division, Swedish Speedway GP star Kim Nilsson scored five points as German club Landshut lost 46-44 at home to Zielona Gora.
