Danish duo Leon Madsen and Mikkel Michelsen both raced to 11 paid 13 points for Czestochowa as they held on for a 46-44 win away to Torun in the PGE Ekstraliga on Sunday.

Second in the KGHM FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Gorzow, Madsen took his red-hot form to Torun, joining Michelsen in leading the Lions to victory, while Kacper Woryna collected 10 paid 13 and Maksym Drabik notched nine.

Former world No.3 Emil Sayfutdinov scored 13 points for Torun, with Speedway GP star Patryk Dudek adding 11. GB racer Robert Lambert notched nine, and it could have been more but for an expensive retirement while he was second in heat 14.

Elsewhere, triple world champion Tai Woffinden scored 11 paid 12 points, leading a rock-solid Wroclaw team performance as Sparta won 50-40 away to Krosno.

Woffy was well supported by 10 points from Polish star Maciej Janowski, while Artem Laguta notched nine paid 10 points, despite his British club King’s Lynn suggesting he was carrying an ankle injury, which keeps him out of Stars’ trip to Wolverhampton on Monday.

GB star Dan Bewley collected eight paid nine, with Piotr Pawlicki picking up seven paid eight and SGP2 rider Bartlomiej Kowalski scoring four.

Czech charger Vaclav Milik led the Krosno score chart on 12 points, with Gorzow finalist Jason Doyle adding 11 paid 12.

Meanwhile, the First Division, Sweden’s Kim Nilsson raced to a 13 paid 15-point maximum for German club Landshut as they triumphed 49-40 at home to Lodz.

German racer Kai Huckenbeck also showed his class on 12 paid 13 and France star Dimitri Berge added 11 paid 12 as both men underlined their form ahead of the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup.
