World No.2 Leon Madsen stormed to 13 paid 14 points for Czestochowa as they registered a 56-34 triumph at home to Krosno in the PGE Ekstraliga on Friday.

The Dane dropped just one point to an opponent as he warms up for the Orlen FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw on May 13, bidding to following up his 2019 win and 2022 second place at the iconic PGE Narodowy.

He was well supported by fellow 2022 Warsaw finalist Mikkel Michelsen, who collected 12 paid 13 points for the Lions, while Maksym Drabik added 10 paid 11 and Jakub Miskowiak bagged nine paid 11.

Aussie ace Jason Doyle was Krosno’s star rider on 13, while Krzysztof Kasprzak notched nine and Latvian star Andzejs Lebedevs collected eight paid 10 points.

Elsewhere, former world No.3 Emil Sayfutdinov raced to 11 paid 12 points to lead Torun to a 52-38 derby victory over Grudziadz.

He was backed up by a 10 paid 11-point from former Speedway GP rider Pawel Przedpelski, while current SGP duo Robert Lambert and Patryk Dudek notched up nine paid 11 points each.

Triple Aussie champion Max Fricke roared into form with 14 points for Grudziadz – just over a week ahead of his bid to top the Orlen FIM Warsaw Speedway GP podium for the second straight season. Danish rider Frederik Jakobsen scored nine paid 10.

It was another tough night for triple world champion Nicki Pedersen, who pulled out after two rides as he continues to battle the effects of his recent back injury suffered at Peterborough.

In the First Division, Speedway GP star Kim Nilsson topped the scorechart for German club Landshut on 12 paid 13 points as they won 52-38 at home to Bydgoszcz. FIM Speedway GP of Germany – Teterow wild card Kai Huckenbeck also weighed in with 10 paid 12 for the Bavarian side.
