Donji Kraljevec is a charming town made famous by its world-class speedway track. Located in Međimurje County, Croatia’s northernmost county, it is located on the Hungarian border with Slovenia and Austria also close by. Fans seeking to enjoy the best of the area can taste the local wines grown on the slopes of the Alpine foothills. The area’s biggest town is Čakovec – a 25-minute drive from Speedway Stadium Milenium, where visitors can find a beautiful old town, shops, restaurants and hotels. Croatia’s stunning capital Zagreb is located 110km or an hour and 15 minutes drive to the south west, with the splendour of Hungarian capital Budapest 250km or two and a half hours away by road to the north east.
