Speedway’s original team event is back for 2023 as the FIM Speedway World Cup returns to the shale after a six-year absence

Wrocław’s iconic Olympic Stadium provides the stage as Discovery Sports Events and the FIM relaunch one of the sport’s most popular tournaments, which will be staged every three years from 2023.

For the first time ever, the entire FIM SWC takes place at one venue as Semi-Final 1, Semi-Final 2, the Race Off and the FIM SWC Final will all be held in Wrocław from Tuesday, July 25 until Saturday, July 29.

Nine countries will line up in the 2023 FIM SWC, with Poland guaranteed a place in the FIM SWC Final as host nation.

They will be joined by FIM Speedway of Nations world champions Australia, Great Britain, Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany and France, who will contest the Semi-Finals. Each country lines up with five riders.
The winner of each Semi-Final joins Poland in the Final, with the second and third-placed sides entering the Race Off. The winning team in the Race Off completes the Final line-up.

Poland won the last FIM SWC staged on home soil at Leszno in 2017 – their eighth world title in 13 seasons. But eight of speedway’s strongest nations will be determined to stop them from making it nine in Wrocław.
