Former Aussie champion Rohan Tungate joins forces with fellow countryman Jason Doyle at Swedish club Indianerna for 2023.

The Kurri Kurri-born racer makes the move from Avesta outfit Masarna and lines up in the Kumla team’s colours for the first time.

Tungate can’t wait to link up with a squad, featuring Speedway GP star Doyle, the Newcastle-born racer who also hails from Australia’s Hunter Valley region.

He told Indians’ website: “I am extremely happy to have signed for Kumla. The team looks good all the way through, and I’ve raced with a lot of the guys before, so it’s going to be a fun season in every way. I think we will be able to go far. I look forward to meeting all the fans in May.”

The Aussies are joined in the Indianerna squad by former Polish champion Szymon Wozniak, Krzysztof Buczkowski, Norbert Krakowiak, SGP2 star Gustav Grahn and his brother Jonatan, plus Hugo Lundahl.

Elsewhere, Danish rider Jonas Seifert-Salk has extended his contract with Motala side Piraterna.
