Aussie champion Max Fricke set his sights on the Bauhaus Elitserien play-off final after extending his stay with Indianerna into 2023.

Fricke competed for the Indians this year, alongside racing in Speedway GP, the Polish First Division with Zielona Gora and the SGB Premiership for Belle Vue.

Next season sees him change clubs in Britain and Poland as he moves up to the PGE Ekstraliga with Grudziadz, while making a loan switch to SGB Premiership newcomers Leicester.

But he will line up in Indians colours once again, albeit not necessarily appearing in every meeting due to a busy international schedule.

Fricke joins forces with Speedway GP rival Jason Doyle, plus the likes of former Polish champion Szymon Wozniak, Rohan Tungate, Krzysztof Buczkowski, Norbert Krakowiak, Hugo Lundahl and brothers Gustav and Jonatan Grahn.

The Victorian racer is backing the Indians to mount a bid for the final. He told the club’s website: “I am very happy to get the chance to come back to Kumla in 2023.

“The team looks really exciting, and I think we have a good chance of getting a good result together. I really enjoy coming to Sweden, the atmosphere, the team management, fans and the club in Kumla is really a wonderful place.

“As a team we are looking forward to taking the next step now and pushing hard to reach the final, which I personally think we can have a very good chance of achieving.”
