Danish racer Anders Thomsen heads to Teterow on a high after storming to a 15-point maximum as Gorzow won 57-33 at home to Krosno in the PGE Ekstraliga on Friday.

The double Danish champion has endured a tough start to his Speedway GP season and is 14th in the standings with 12 points after three rounds.

But Thomsen gave himself the ultimate confidence boost heading into Saturday’s Wölk FIM Speedway GP of Germany – Teterow after piling up the points for Gorzow over five rides.

Meanwhile, Slovak star Martin Vaculik followed up his Prague victory last Saturday with 12 and Polish racer Oskar Fajfer also impressed with a 12 paid 15-point maximum.

Latvian star Andzejs Lebedevs led the Krosno scoring on eight paid nine points, with Aussie ace Jason Doyle scoring a straight eight.

Elsewhere, Wroclaw triumphed 31-23 at home to Grudziadz in a meeting curtailed by bad weather.

Great Britain star Dan Bewley raced to seven paid eight points from three rides for the hosts, while Tai Woffinden tallied four paid five and Maciej Janowski added four.

Triple world champion Nicki Pedersen scored six paid seven, while Vadim Tarasenko, who has just been announced as a new signing by British club Peterborough, scored five along with Poland’s Kacper Pludra. Speedway GP star Max Fricke collected three.
