CARDIFF: TICKETS AND EVENT INFORMATION

Don’t miss out on Cardiff’s 20^th anniversary Speedway GP this Saturday – tickets are still on sale at the Principality Stadium on Friday and Saturday.

Secure your seat for an epic weekend of racing at the WRU Store, located between gates three and four on Westgate Street. The WRU Store is open for ticket sales on both Friday (1pm-5.30pm BST) and Saturday (9.30am-5.30pm BST).

Great Britain stars Tai Woffinden, Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley are all in red-hot form as they bid to become the first home Cardiff winner since Chris Harris’ epic charge to victory in 2007.

But Polish icon Bartosz Zmarzlik, who has never missed a Cardiff final since making his South Wales debut in 2016, will be determined to take the win and extend his 18-point advantage at the Speedway GP World Championship summit. Danish star Leon Madsen topped the Cardiff podium in 2019, and bids to make it back-to-back wins to close the gap at the top.

As an added bonus, Cardiff tickets also include entry to Sunday’s FIM SGP2 of Great Britain (1pm start). Round two of the revamped FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship sees the sport’s brightest young talents, featuring GB star Tom Brennan, go wheel-to-wheel in the biggest under-21 event ever staged.

Away from the racing, we celebrate and welcome back the legends who have won Britain’s biggest speedway event since it launched at Principality Stadium back in 2001, including the likes of six-time world champion Tony Rickardsson, four-time world champion Greg Hancock, triple world champions Jason Crump and Nicki Pedersen, 2012 world champion Chris Holder, former world No.3s Ryan Sullivan and Niels-Kristian Iversen and 2007 hero Harris.

Fans can also enjoy an action-packed fanzone on Cardiff’s City Hall Lawn from 10am until 3.30pm on Saturday, featuring an autograph session with all of the Speedway GP riders at 2.15pm. There is also a Monster Energy Burnout and Rig Riot from 1.30pm, freestyle mountain bike stunt performances and Q&As on stage with the Speedway GP legends from 12.15pm.

The fanzone closes at 3.30pm – when gates open at Principality Stadium, with fans advised to arrive early to allow time to clear ticket and security checks. Fans are advised not to bring bags to the stadium, with no bags bigger than A4 permitted.

Airhorns are permitted at all Speedway GP events, but Principality Stadium operates airhorn-free zones in blocks L15, L37, M12, M22, M24, M33, U9 and U33. For Sunday’s SGP2, M24 and M25 are airhorn-free blocks.

All tickets for the event have been issued digitally, using either the See Tickets app or the Principality Stadium app. Fans should ensure their smart phones are fully charged and are advised to avoid taking a screenshot of tickets, which could result in them becoming invalid. Please transfer tickets to family and friends before arriving at the stadium as public WiFi is not available.

A variety of food and drink options are available throughout the Principality Stadium. Please note that only card payments are accepted.

With industrial action planned on the UK’s rail network this Saturday, fans are advised to check before they travel and be prepared to make alternative travel plans to reach the Principality Stadium.
